A Compilation of Links
Marshall Gorrow has compiled a list of over 500 links related to woodturning. They include associations and woodturning clubs, websites of individual turners, sources of tools and supplies, woodturning newsgroups and forums, and much, much more. His site also shows a wide variety of turnings and includes several articles. Check it out!
Kaleidoscopes
James N. Duxbury, author, teacher, inventor, and master turner, has produced an excellent DVD that shows all the steps in making a kaleidoscope. Visit his site to see a gallery of kaleidoscopes plus several galleries of his turnings.
WoodCentral
This site contains a wealth of information on all aspects of working wood, including turning. Also, it is home to a popular turning messageboard, which I visit every day.
Piedmont Triad Woodturners Association
I’m a member of this AAW Chapter that has well over 100 members. The website includes photos of the monthly instant gallery and submissions for the president’s challenge.
